Carolyn inspires me as well! Love this statement especially. “If artists were paid by an hour, this should count, as this is when the great ideas often emerge!”

Oh Tove, this is lovely! The story, the embryo, the painting, the explaining. Lovely!

Thank you, Teresa! 🥰I loved both stitching and writing the story.

I’ve just reread this and am now commenting again because I am still so freaked out about the fox. I mean, in a really good way, but still!

“Stitching the fox took me almost a day (and he didn´t even need to be there. Except he did.)”.

Yes, he did.

It freaked me out, too. Also in a good way!

It has inspired me to write “the fox story”. It’s time. That was what was behind my mandala today, too

This is truly Soul Stitching Tove! You stitched what your Soul showed you while you were dreaming and feeling poorly. Very clever and of course you know me and the tiny details!! Love it.

I was only making tiny, wee, miniature dyed tissue paper flowers for 2 hanging baskets this morning for my latest ATC card, yet to be revealed!

So pleased you found Lily. I know that not having a Spanish conversation remote feeling sometimes. That's why I can always be found chatting to builders, gardeners, delivery drivers and shopkeepers when I get the chance. All the people in our village are mostly expats now and I don't speak Dutch or Walloon! Nor wish to.

Ironically my Dad always called my Lil for some odd reason, despite being called Sally 🤪 but...I found out that Black Moon Lilith has a big influence on my chart, and is maybe why he called me that name!

I feel like Lily saves me! It makes a big difference. I look forward to meet someone I can chat with. At least I did fine on a doctor appointment the other day.

Interesting that your dad called you Lil! Who knows?

Your postcards are amazing. They seem to be so YOU.

In all honesty I think it is quite difficult here to find true Spanish friends to chat with after 11 years here. They either usually want to speak English or many have no English at all so that can be as difficult or are worried about speaking it. And there tends to be more English or eu expats in this area that want to latch on! I found using tradesmen was one of the best ways to learn more. Do you find reading Spanish easy?

I also know mainly expats and we always speak English together. But why? When I lived in Paris, it wasalways French. Kristian has almost only Spanish friends, so it is also due to interests.

I started to read a bit Spanish news.

I am much more optimistic now, as I finally feel like I progress.

Do you read Spanish?

I just love to read the story behind the art! I especially love how you embroidered the flowers, beautiful!

I love this and the little fox.

Thank you, Hannah. I love the fox, too.

The fox needed to be there. Foxes are adaptable-- just like you.

It’s funny though, I never felt I had a special relationship with foxes. But now I think I do.

This story in a story of a dream is captivating and feels like a premonition too. It’s woven into the fabric of your days and in Substack too. I hope you will write more.

Tove Cecilie Fasting's avatar

Thank you do much, Kathryn! I wouldn’t mind it being a premonition. At least I had great fun making this.

I see us in Catalonia, sipping wine. And if you can believe this,Tove, a fox is my freaking spirit animal! I restacked your post and said more things over there. But I really love that you are following your dreams and that the dreams are showing up in your art! ❤️❤️❤️

That is almost weird, Carolyn! Synchronicity? I don’t know where the idea of the fox came from, but once I had it, I knew it just had to be there!

I literally got goosebumps head to toe when I read that!
